The bank holidays are behind us, which means we are on the final straight to summer. Yes, it’s nearly here ladies. Some of you most likely have holidays booked and you’re looking to get in shape for it. Well, first thing I want to say is – NO FAD DIETS OR QUICK FIXES!
Everyday I’m seeing another “Instagram Influencer” selling some sort of new Tea Detox or Pill that is apparently changing their life and they now can’t live without it. But, then you look closely and in the caption you see the hashtag #ad.
That’s exactly what it is – an advert. It might look more natural and personal – but, it’s simply good marketing. This is becoming so popular, that I’ll save it and write a more detailed article about how to spot the real from the fake, next week. But, for now – NO QUICK FIXES.
We are here to make a lifestyle change.
Starting today, I want you to gradually add these drinks into your diet plan.
Something that we always tell people is that this is a lifestyle change. Not a quick diet. Not a two week fix. A lifestyle.
So, with that being said, here are a few key drinks and drinks that I swear by, to help battle the fat and keep me feeling fresh.
Coffee
Don’t talk to me in the morning before I’ve had one. I simply swear by Coffee – it’s like my alarm clock. Not only does it help inject life into our metabolism from the get-go, it also helps to put us in a good mood and even improves our daily performance – both mentally and physically.
When it comes to fat burning, coffee is up there with the best. Why? The caffeine helps to speed up our metabolism and boost our energy levels. I’d recommend 1-2 cups a day. Anything more and you may find yourself having a sleepless night, so take it easy!
Green Tea
Adding green tea to your daily intake will help to both detox and speed up your metabolism. Remember, the more water in your system the better. This will help to flush out any toxins your body is holding onto, as well as, cleaning out the excess water your body is holding onto.
Green tea is also great for reducing the risk in heart disease and protect against certain types of cancer.
Remember, the more water, the less your body will hold onto. This will help to reduce your bloat and keep things looking tight!
Protein shakes
When it comes to protein shakes, they come with a stereotype. Many people believe that protein shakes are for the bodybuilders and getting huge. Wrong. Protein shakes play an essential part in muscle growth and fat loss.
Whey protein is also great for curbing any cravings you may have. Within minutes of having a protein shake, your appetite will be stemmed. This helps to curb them bad habits of snacking on sweets and heavy carb foods.
Don’t forget, the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn in normal day-to-day activities. Don’t worry, one or two protein shakes a day isn’t going to turn you into Arnie. Nor will weightlifting.
Final Words
As I mentioned at the start of this article, there is simply no quick fix to burning fat – especially not one that will last in the long run. It all comes down to a lifestyle change.
Adding these drinks into your daily intake and you will soon see a change, especially if the rest of your diet is healthy and you’re doing some sort of exercise.
